Merida Silex 200
agile and ready to carry all your bikepacking gear.
The SILEX 200 is your entry into the world of gravel adventure, with a high-quality aluminium frame and lightweight carbon fork paired with affordable yet durable components like a Shimano Sora 2x9-speed transmission and comfortable, grippy 45mm Maxxis tyres. It’s the perfect weekday companion that doubles as a willing partner on big bikepacking adventures at the weekend. The SILEX turns any ride into an adventure, whether you’re heading out on a multi-day bikepacking trip or just taking the fun route to work. The latest iteration builds on the winning pedigree of the original SILEX but adds even more off-road capability, thanks to a slacker head angle and increased tyre clearance of up to 700x45mm, or a whopping 42mm when mudguards are fitted. With carbon and aluminium frame options, there’s a SILEX to suit every budget, but they all share the multiple mounting points, mudguard mounts and other features that lend themselves so well to this do-it-all bike. We’ve added our sleek WIRE PORT cable routing for a cleaner, more modern design, and the carbon fork used on all models now features more cargo mounts and internal routing for a dynamo. With the option to run 1x or 2x drivetrains, you can choose your drivetrain to suit the job at hand or your personal preference, opening up a world of options for you and your SILEX.

Technologies
X-Taper headtube
The X-Tapered headtube provides clearance for a tapered fork. Tapered forks offer exceptional stiffness and precision, and provide confidence-inspiring steering.
Internal Cable Routing
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth ports. The bike looks clean, while the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
DI2 Ready
Bikes/frames with the "Di2 Ready" symbol are ready for Di2 installation with the battery mounted in the seat post or inside the fork.
Disc Cooler
A forged aluminum component under the front and/or rear caliper that allows heat to dissipate through CNC-machined cooling fins. Tests show that temperatures are reduced by approximately 35% and cooling times are shortened, optimizing brake performance.
Wire Port
MERIDA has designed covers that allow all control cables to enter the frame through the headset, creating a clean and tidy look, without making structural changes to the frame. Depending on the model, the cables are routed completely internally (including the bar and stem) or semi-integrated where the cables enter the frame under the stem.
Down tube exit
Ensures that internally routed cables and wires cannot move freely and remain easily accessible for maintenance.
Prolite 66 Triple Butted Aluminum
The proven high-end aluminum (6066) is extremely light and strong. Using triple-cut wall thicknesses and hydroforming technology, it is possible to offer the best stiffness to weight ratio.
HFS - Hydro forming system
The tubes are placed into negative molds and a hot emulsion of water and oil is forced under pressure, allowing complex shapes to be formed.
Smooth welding
Sometimes called "double pass welding", a second pass of welding gives the frame a clean, organic look. At first glance, you'll be convinced it's carbon.
F-Mount
Bikes equipped with the F-Mount have built-in mudguards (some bikes require model-specific mudguards), making assembly quick and easy.
C-Mount
Bikes equipped with the C-Mount have the mounting points for the rear rack already integrated (some bikes require a model-specific rear rack), making mounting quick, easy and reliable.
