MAVIC Ksyrium Pro Exalith rims
Superior braking capacity, plus a wider, lighter rim for versatile road performance
All the best of the Ksyrium Pro with the added benefit of our exclusive Exalith rim surface treatment. This wheel offers incredible versatility and all-round capability, not to mention braking power and great looks. Exalith is a special chemical treatment that penetrates deep into the aluminum rim, providing several benefits. Firstly, the rim is reinforced, especially the braking surface, which means that wear over time is greatly reduced. This significantly improves braking power, reducing braking distances by as much as 20% compared to traditional aluminum rims, in both dry and wet conditions. Finally, the specific Exalith pads ensure quiet braking with reduced wear. The rim also has a beautiful all-black finish that will last for thousands of kilometers. We also use Fore drilling to keep the rim light and strong, as well as Zicral spokes, which are stiffer and lighter than traditional steel spokes. Isopulse lacing improves stability and stiffness under high loads, and a new wider rim (17mm internal width) uses ISM 4D (Inter Spoke Milling) technology to further reduce weight to just 405 grams. Excess material is removed from the lower bridge and sidewalls, resulting in an ultra-light yet strong rim. Matching Yksion Pro tyres, specifically designed for front and rear, offer the ideal balance of efficiency, grip and light weight. Made with a supple 127 TPI casing, they weigh just 205 grams in the 25mm version. The Ksyrium Pro Exalith system is available with 23 or 25mm tyres.
